The Goa Human Resource Development Corporation was established by the Government under the Goa Human Resource Development Act, 2012 with a view to make special provision for development human resources in the state of Goa by imparting required training to the unemployed persons and to the work force in the State of Goa, so as to make available the trained and skilled personnel to the Government Departments, Institutions, Government undertakings, autonomous bodies, social institutions, business establishments, individuals etc., and also with a view to assist the unemployed youth, to get gainful employment.
The man behind the conception of GHRDC, our Ex Defense Minister, India and Ex Chief Minister of Goa Late Shri. Manohar Parrikar. The concept of evolving GHRDC was his brainchild and we are always grateful to him for this brilliant idea which has benefitted Goans and generated jobs for our young generation. Also, it is pleasure to tell you that our present Chairman and Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant is being with us from inception playing major role in taking this corporation to great heights. Office of the corporation was first located at old Education Department building at St. Inez Panaji and was inter shifted to our own building at porvorim in October, 2016. First batch of trained guards were deployed in various departments w.e.f. 02/02/2015. Presently we are having 2085 Security Personnel recruited in IX batches and 560 Housekeeping Personel recruited in VI batches are deployed all over Goa in various Government Department/ Autonomous Bodies at more than 250 locations.
